Choosing The Theme
Macklin is all about playing and throwing balls! If something is even in the vague shape of a ball, he's going to throw it. We struggled with finding a good theme for his birthday party, then I found some great inspiration on Pinterest. We knew he'd love this theme so much!

The Invitations
The invitation was personalized from Zazzle and I built the decor around it. Digital downloads are the way to go if you're not planning on sending paper invitations. Click here for the link to the invitation template.
Outside Decorations
The venue where we host the party doesn't have a huge area for outdoor decorations. We went with something simple, a ball themed door cover and taped a personalized picture on the door.

Indoor Decorations
We chose polka dot tablecloths to give the room a real bouncy ball theme from the beginning. The honeycomb ball centerpieces were a great addition to the tables. We also utilized chair covers to unify the mismatched chairs.
For the gift table, I made and printed the sign. I used purse stands to hang the Happy Birthday Banner. I had seen it from another creator; I believe it was from @courtneys.table. It turned out even better than I thought it would!

Photo Area Set Up For Opening Up Presents
I used a square balloon arch, a balloon kit, and some extra polka dot balloons to achieve the perfect balloon arch. For the backdrop, I used a polka dot banner that fit the space perfectly. The foil balloon 2 was a great addition. I got a personalized shirt from Etsy that worked so well for the day. We wanted this to be a picture-perfect moment.

Food and Dessert
We served pizza from Domino's and cake and cupcakes from Sam's Club. We used super cute ball cake toppers for the cake and cupcakes. They turned out so cute. We got a red "Happy Birthday" sign for the cake and had Sam's Club write his name on it. We decided to just serve tea and water for ease.

Servingware
We decided to use large yellow plates, polka dot cake plates, green forks, blue napkins, and red Solo cups to really pull the simple colors of the balls together. I did add the signs to make the food seem a bit more personable.

Party Favors
We initially wanted to do some cute party favors, but time got away from us. Here's what we had planned to use.
The Result?
Hey everyone! Michael again! This birthday party turned out better than I could have expected. When Emily suggested the theme, I was not able to see the vision she had. It turned out to be amazing and the setup was great. One of my favorite parts of the day (other than eating cake), was watching Macklin see his party setup for the first time. He is really into his toys now and seeing all the balls and balloons was magical. Macklin definitely enjoyed the food that included pizza and cake. He loved wearing his shirt and running around with all the other kids that came to celebrate him. He did not want to open up presents in front of everyone, so when we did that at home, he got plenty of cars and trucks. It was awesome to see all of the family there and chat, as we don’t get to have everyone in one room as much as we would like. They all enjoyed celebrating Macklin and enjoying the company. If your little 2 or 3 year old loves balls, this is certainly the way to go. We hope you all have as much fun as we did.
