A couple of weeks ago, we decided to take the kids to the aquarium. We initially planned a zoo outing, but the rain changed our plans. We slept in, got ready, and finally headed to Kansas City for a wonderful day.
First stop: Lunch
Our lunch visit to Buffalo Wild Wings was such a treat for our family. The kids were surprisingly well-behaved, which made the experience even more enjoyable. We loved getting out of the house and finally sitting down together at a restaurant—it felt like a big milestone with little ones in tow. The wings were absolutely delicious, and Mack even tried his very first boneless wing, which was such a fun moment to watch. It turned out to be the perfect mix of good food, happy kids, and a family memory we’ll always remember.
Sea Life Aquarium at Crown Center
Our day at the aquarium with MJ and Mack was truly unforgettable and filled with so many special moments. MJ was thrilled to touch the starfish at the interactive exhibit. His face lit up with curiosity as he learned about sea creatures up close. Mack couldn’t get enough of the glowing jellyfish, mesmerized as they floated gracefully through their tanks. Michael was fascinated by the sharks, while Emily stayed busy capturing each memory on camera.
As we wandered through the exhibits, we were amazed by the sheer variety of sea life. There were schools of brightly colored fish darting around coral reefs, exotic species we had never seen before, and playful creatures that had the kids giggling with delight. Everywhere we turned, there was something new and exciting to discover. We had so much fun exploring the aquarium together as a family, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit to see what else we can find beneath the waves.
Stroller Tips
Taking our Chicco Bravo 3-in-1 stroller to the Aquarium made the entire day so much easier with our one-year-old. The stroller’s lightweight design and easy fold made it simple to maneuver through the entrance and pathways without feeling bulky. With plenty of storage space underneath, we had room for snacks, diapers, and souvenirs. The smooth ride kept Mack comfortable and happy as we explored the sea life exhibits. The convenience of being able to quickly recline the seat for a nap on the go was a lifesaver, letting us enjoy the aquarium stress-free and focus on making family memories.
Final Thoughts About The Aquarium
We had such a wonderful time at the aquarium. We can't wait for our next adventure at the Kansas City Zoo! Thanks to the flexibility of our schedules as the Modern Stay at Home Family, we’re able to enjoy these special outings together and make lasting memories. Be sure to follow along as we share more family adventures, tips, and fun experiences.
