Difficulty with love?
This past year the world has seen so much hate. Between the volatile election, wars, and the never-ending stories of bad news, there seems to be a lack of love and compassion for one another.
Regardless of the seemingly disappearing displays of true agape, Michael and I continue to pour into our Bibles and take solace in the truth of the Word. These are our favorite verses that encompass both loving Him and our neighbor. The verses are intertwined. This is intentionally written so that you might appreciate the completeness of these scriptures.
NOTE: All of these translations come from the NASB (New American Standard Bible).

Final Thoughts about Love
I hope you find some comfort in these verses. The reason we should love God above all else and love each other is because He loved us first. His love should flow through us.
There are many ways to be loving, but I can't stress enough the simplest way. Just say it. Next time you talk to a friend or family member, tell them you love them. For us, this is easier said than done. But, I wish every day that my grandma were still here for me to tell her. And to hear her tell me. I miss hearing her beloved words. We read these verses to increase our faith and love. We encourage you to do the same.
