A fun night
Last Saturday, Michael and I threw the kids a fun Monsters Inc.-themed movie night. I remember growing up watching Monsters Inc. and loving Boo so much. We decided that we'd do one of these movie nights once a month while the kids are still young and can appreciate the simple times with Mom and Dad. We made the food and decorated our small kitchen table with our spread.
What we served
I searched Pinterest and got a lot of great inspiration. I didn't see anything specific to the theme we picked, so I think all of these ideas were our own. We decided to do breakfast for dinner for a fun spin.
Appetizers
- Boo's Berry Yogurt. MJ and Mack LOVE yogurt. They eat it every morning for breakfast with some kind of fruit puree. For this, we blended a berry blend of blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, cherries, and pomegranates.
- Roz's Roasted Potatoes. We air-fried little yellow Yukon Gold potatoes and it was so easy and delicious.

Entrees
- Waternoose Waffles. This was such a fun play on Mr. Waternoose. Even though he's the villain, it made for a great food choice.
- Sully's Sausage Patties. These were a great side choice alongside the waffles.

Desserts
- Celia's Cinnamon Rolls. We LOVE cinnamon rolls for breakfast when we want a sweet treat.
Drinks
- Randall's Toxic Waste. We don't allow MJ to drink anything other than milk and water, so we added food coloring to milk and made it a fun color.

The setup
We got a lime green tablecloth for our small table and bought a Sully-inspired foil backdrop! The balloon clusters are a perfect monster mix of Mike and Sully. We decided to go with neutral servingware so we could use it for subsequent movie nights!

We can't wait for our next movie night. We're already planning to do a Nightmare Before Christmas Movie night, complete with Jack Skelington's Juice! Let us know in the comments if you had as much fun as we did doing a Monster's Inc. Movie Night. We'd love to hear from you!
