A fun night of Alice In Wonderland
Last Saturday, Michael and I threw the kids a fun Alice In Wonderland-themed movie night. For us, this was a fun, whimsical walk down memory lane. With the decor, we wanted to capture the vibes with the whimsy of Wonderland. We decided that we'd do one of these movie nights once a month while the kids are still young and can appreciate the simple times with Mom and Dad. We made the food and decorated our small kitchen table with our spread.
What we served for Alice In Wonderland
I searched Pinterest and got a lot of great inspiration. We decided to go with a play on the Mad Hatter's Tea Party and side dishes.
Entree
- The Mad Hatter's Tea Party. I used my three-tiered serving tray for teacups and sandwiches.

Sides
- The White Rabbit's Garden Platter. This was just an easy veggie tray we threw together on a charcuterie board.
- The Chesire Cat's Cheesy Potatoes. I used our family's favorite cheesy potato dish recipe and it was a hit.
- The Catepillar's Garlic Butter Corn. This was SO good. I used THIS recipe from The Honour System.com

Desserts
- Alice's Cookies. I got frosted sugar cookies from our local bakery and used edible ink markers to draw the sayings on the cookies.

Drinks
- The Queen of Hearts' Mocktails. We mixed cherry juice and Sprite for a sparkling mocktail. To serve them, we put them in heart-shaped red flutes that sent them over the top!

The Set Up
We got a perfect light blue tablecloth for our small table and used a balloon Arch Kit that fit the eccentric theme. I used the square balloon arch, and it made it so much easier to attach the balloons. We used a fairyland backdrop and a hand of cards to really cement the Wonderland theme. The teacups are vintage and we borrowed them from my mom. We decided to go with neutral servingware so we could use it for subsequent movie nights!
