Super Mario Brothers: A SUPER night
Last Saturday, Michael and I decided to throw the kids a fun Super Mario Brothers-themed movie night. It's one of Michael's favorite games to play from his childhood. This was our fourth time doing these movie nights, once a month. We want to continue doing these while the kids are still young and can appreciate the simple times with Mom and Dad. We made the food and decorated our small kitchen table with our spread.

What we served
We decided to choose a theme and build the food around it. BBQ was the cuisine of choice.
Entrees
- Princess Peach's Pulled Pork
Sides
- Mario's Mac & Cheese
- Luigi's Cheesy Potatoes
- Yoshi's Cole Slaw
- Bowser's Baked Beans
- Toad's Chips and Dip
Desserts
- Donkey Kong Cupcakes
Drinks
- Goomba's Tea
The Super Mario Brothers set up
We got a yellow tablecloth for our small table and bought a Super Mario Brothers backdrop. The balloon clusters and foil balloons really brought the gaming feel! We decided to go with neutral servingware so we could use it for subsequent movie nights!

Here's everything we used for the tablescape!
Now it's your turn!
This was such a fun night and the kids had a GREAT time. To make it easy for you, we've made the food labels and menu available for download. Click here to download them.
We can't wait for our next movie night. We're already planning to do a Monster's Inc. theme. We're going to incorporate breakfast for dinner for a fun spin. Let us know in the comments if you had as much fun as we did doing a Super Mario Bros. movie Night. We'd love to hear from you!
