A fun night of the Grinch

Last Saturday, Michael and I threw the kids a fun How the Grinch Stole Christmas-themed movie night. MJ has loved "Grinchy" for a couple of years now! We watched the original cartoon and the newer animated film. The kids love both of them, but admittedly, I absolutely love the classic. We decided that we'd do one of these movie nights once a month while the kids are still young and can appreciate the simple times with Mom and Dad. We made the food and decorated our small kitchen table with our spread.

What we served for The Grinch Movie Night

I searched Pinterest and got a lot of great inspiration.

Appetizers

  • Max's Mozzarella Sticks. The kids LOVE mozzarella sticks so this was a fun to have a play on words with Max.

Entrees

  • Rare Who Roast Beast Sliders. These were definitely not an original idea, but I think they turned out so cute. We actually decided to use ham and turkey instead of roast beef because we're not the biggest fans of roast beef.
  • Who Hash. We used diced, frozen potatoes and added cheese and bacon.

Desserts

  • Who Pudding. I initially wanted to do a large parfait-type pudding, but that did not happen LOL. This was just a simple instant vanilla pudding with some Christmas sprinkles on top.

Drinks

  • Grinch Juice. We didn't really want to do the fun Grinch punch because we try to limit dyes, so we got Naked Green Machine juice instead. While it's not a traditional "Grinch" green, we loved how it turned out.

The Set Up

We got a lime green tablecloth for our small table and used a red tablecloth for the backdrop! We used a fun foil balloon to complete the backdrop. The balloon garland really added the perfect touch. We decided to go with neutral servingware so we could use it for subsequent movie nights!
