A fun night of Lady and the Tramp
Last Saturday, Michael and I threw the kids a fun Lady and the Tramp-themed movie night. We ended up watching both the cartoon and the newer live-action films. The kids love both of them, but they preferred the original one. For the decor, we went full on Valentine's Day with this one. We decided that we'd do one of these movie nights once a month while the kids are still young and can appreciate the simple times with Mom and Dad. We made the food and decorated our small kitchen table with our spread.
What we served for The Lady and the Tramp
I searched Pinterest and got a lot of great inspiration. We chose some classic choices that fit the movie theme perfectly.
Appetizers
- Antipasto Platter. We had our cousin make us a gorgeous charcuterie board for this. It's not as truly Italian as an Antipasto platter, but it worked for us.

Entrees
- Spaghetti and Meatballs. We obviously had to go with this classic. The kids love spaghetti and so it was a no-brainer.
- Garlic Knots. We chose this specific type of garlic bread side because, to me, it looked like dog bones. Such a fun twist for the movie's theme.

Desserts
- Cannoli dip and chips. We wanted to keep the Italian theme, and Cannoli dip was the perfect choice. We used pretzel chips for a sweet/salty mix, but you could definitely do any type of chips for the dip.

Drinks
- Italian Cream Soda. Admittedly, this was just traditional cream soda. But we served it in super cute heart-shaped glasses for a fun, romantic spin.

The Set Up
We got a heart-themed tablecloth for our small table and used a fun Valentine's Day balloon backdrop. This was the first movie night using the balloon arch and it turned out so perfectly! I can't wait to use them for every movie night. We decided to go with neutral servingware so we could use it for subsequent movie nights!

We can't wait for our next movie night. We're already planning to do a Robin Hood movie night in March! Let us know in the comments if you had as much fun as we did doing a Lady and the Tramp-themed movie night. We'd love to hear from you!
