A fun night of Peter Pan
Last Saturday, Michael and I threw the kids a fun Peter Pan-themed movie night. For us, this was a classic Disney movie growing up, but it, unfortunately, comes with it's own historical fallacies. We made sure to educate on the wrongs of the time, while enjoying the magic of the movie. For the decor, we wanted to capture the Peter Pan vibes with the magic of the night sky. We decided that we'd do one of these movie nights once a month while the kids are still young and can appreciate the simple times with Mom and Dad. We made the food and decorated our small kitchen table with our spread.
What we served for Peter Pan
I searched Pinterest and got a lot of great inspiration. We decided to go with a Mexican food theme.
Entree
- Peter Pan Flying Taco Bar. We built a mini taco bar with the essentials and served it on a three-tier serving tray.

Sides
- Captain Hook's Mexican Rice. We cooked up some cilantro lime rice and it went perfectly with the tacos.
- The Lost Boys Nacho Fries. We tried our hand at Tabo Bell's Nacho Fries and they were a hit!

Desserts
- Crocodile Cupcakes. We did a bit of a cheat and ordered Jurassic Park cupcakes from Walmart. I added crocodile cupcake toppers to really hammer the theme home.

Drinks
- Tinker Bell's Pixie Dust Mocktails. I mixed pineapple and orange juice and added some edible luster dust. They turned out so cute and it really looked like pixie dust.

The Set Up
We got a perfect green tablecloth for our small table and used a balloon Arch Kit that fit for Peter Pan and Tinker Bell. I used the square balloon arch, and it made it so much easier to attach the balloons. We used a starry night backdrop and a Big Ben cutout to really cement the London theme. We decided to go with neutral servingware so we could use it for subsequent movie nights!
